It was suggested we go to Rosario, but Lola's was closer. What a great place. Only open for breakfast and lunch and closes at 2:30.
Service was superb. Prices were terrific. Food was wonderful.
I had the puffy tacos. Never had them before and they were great. A little oily, but crunchy and chewy. My partner had the enchiladas and she loved them. Didn't have the typical red sauce.
Both salsas, rojo and verde, were very good. We preferred the rojo because of its extra spiciness.
Each plate came with healthy servings of rice and beans. More than enough to eat. Bill with a soft drink each was $20.

Beware the fake reviews. This is a tex-mex place for tourists who have no idea what Mexican food really is.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. -

Stayed in San Antonio recently and had a chance to visit this little jewel of this city. Now this is a tourist town, but I wanted to eat where the locals eat.
Lula's is a little Latin cafe with a value priced menu. It's walking distance from most major hotels in the area. Cute and super clean. Breakfast plates start at about $5.95. Breakfast Tacos are less than $1.50. I had the "Poco de Todo" (Little of Everything) breakfast. Eggs, bacon, chorizo sausage and cheese all mixed together, with beans, potatoes and tortillas. I loved it. Less than $10 with coffee. Don't forget to ask for salsa. The green is the bomb.
If you want to grab a quick, great tasting Latin breakfast then be sure to stop by. The staff here is very nice, respectful and attentive to your needs.
$$$$ service; $ price.
Check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

My daughter suggested this place so we decided to try. Let me say the service is fantastic they make you feel like family!! The puffy chicken tacos were amazing. They had a great flavor! The caldo de pollo was fantastic great flavor and amazing taste. When in town I will come back again. Kerry is very accommodating and extremely friendly makes you feel like family!

Went here for a business lunch for my team. There were about 8 of us so not a small size. We were brought chips and salsa and our drink orders were taken. Our waiter came back promptly with our drinks and took our lunch orders. I had a question between two separate meals and he was very informed and accurate. Our food came out incredibly fast. This is rare for me to say, but I was actually so surprised how fast it came out. We ate paid and left. This place is perfect especially for a lunch crowd who needs to get in and out quickly.
